Two Resurrections for the Price of One

St. John 19:25 and 12:17
One who doesn’t preach “this, that and the other” but ALL Word is our beloved leader who delivered today’s Easter Message! He reminded us that God has a history of accomplishments and success! Certainly, such acts can bear witness of the things that He’s likely to do in the future!
“Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of
Cleophas and Mary Magdalene.” Apostle John also was present at Jesus’ crucifixion! Then, too, the Bible bears record that He called Lazarus from the dead and that He was available when Mary poured expensive perfume on Jesus’ feet and wiped them with her hair!
It (Testament) also conveys about the blind man who received his sight...the woman healed from an issue of blood...the ten men delivered from leprosy! Moreover, the man who was touched from his withered hand...the demonic man who was possessed with demons and made whole and other stories!
There are two resurrections (life and death) but only one Resurrector who is our Lord and Savior! The resurrection of our Beloved Son (alongside His crucifixion) is the central, historical event in the Christian faith. Without it, there would be no Christianity!
The two great resurrections await the inhabitants of the earth: The first resurrection is for the life of the just! The second resurrection is damnation for the unrighteous! Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake—some to everlasting life and others to shame and timeless contempt!
The narrative of Alpha and Omega are His Baptism, Transfiguration, Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension! He was stripped of His clothes; bleeding from the crown of his head to the sole of His feet! He suffered, dehydrated, whipped, sweated and disrespected! For much, there was a beginning and there will be an ending!
All closures have a commencing and vice-versus (whether success or failure)! It was not by happenstance about the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord! But, a decision that was made by the Creator! Therefore, that allowed us to have a good relationship, healing, protection, peace, joy, strength, wisdom and many other blessings from Him!
The Israelites forgot that the LORD was in charge and that He had rescued them from their enemies! Like He told Job, “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Who determined its dimensions and stretched out the surveying line? What supports its foundations…”
Children of the Most High, where were you when God worked miracles in your life and delivered you from sin? Even when depressed, down-trodden, hurt, etc., we may forget about His manifestations and lose faith! Remember: “Jesus, I’ll never forget what you done for me!”
Not only is it the question, “Where were you?” But, Where are the people that you helped? (Business partner, children, spouse; friends that you bailed out of jail; those who were given a place to stay; loaned money and never gotten paid back, etc. When doing such things, one would expect the support of said individuals to be there for you when problems or trouble arise!
Likewise, you would think that the foot of the cross would have been flooded with people after all the miracles and wonders that the Master achieved!
Regarding God and the Bible, we all should take the Lord at His Word! Faith in God means that we should believe that He exists; that He is who the scriptures say He is and that our trust—or lack of it—will radically impact our lives and eternity! Nobody can protect/help us like Jehovah-Jireh!
Because He loved us, “The Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected and killed and on the third day be raised.” Luke 9:22. The “must” of God is non-negotiable...unpredictable. We are dealing with a “must;” and, we must pray, fast, cry out to God — no “tipping” and “sipping” — no “hiding” and “jiving!”
It’s a blessing to have life and that more abundantly! Let no one dictate how you should praise and give glory to God! Keep your complaints to yourself! These are not your hands, feet and mouth but mine! As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord! I will praise Him for His goodness! You are (or can be) anointed to go through sickness, betrayal, hurt, pain, etc. We have a supernatural power (God)! It’s not resilience, brilliancy and strength but it’s the glorification of the Lord! It’s the anointing that breaks the yoke (or burden)!
Surely, we want to exemplify the resurrection by being faithful to God’s House—by saying “thank you, excuse me or I appreciate you!” Plus, being humble, kind and more!
Thankfully, we have the resurrection and the Resurrector! Do you represent God through His power, blood and holiness? Undeniably, we are witnesses...elevated...healed...picked up...turned around and He placed our feet on solid ground!
I was no good; a liar and cheat; “rolling stone” and hell-bound! Repeat: My life bears record, because I’m here and obeying God’s commands! My Christian deportment also verify that I’ve been resurrected by the Resurrector! It’s all about souls that can be resurrected! God is saying: “Come unto Me!” Why die when you can live? We honor the Lord for redemption; freedom from addiction, poverty, strongholds, etc. May the good Lord rest, rule and abide with all of us, hence now and forever more!
Bishop: Thanks for all you do to make our church the encouraging and faith-building place it is! We love you and 1st Lady Shania Merriwether!
