He's Already Working It Out!

Speaker:
Elder Zachary Humphrey
Reference Text: Psalm 46:1
One who devotes himself to the public reading of scripture, exhortation and teaching is our own elder (as named above)! The words that were spoken from him were spirit and life! St. John 6:63.“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble…” That scripture is inspirational, encouraging and reassuring! It also lets us know that He is our shelter and protection from danger or distress! Emmanuel unquestionably has perfect timing: Never early—never late! But, He is always on time! He’s already working it out for our good! Philippians 1:6.
Perhaps, there are some imposters in the house but come over here to the real, praising side! Find out what a real praise is! If Sunday is your first time saying Hallelujah, that doesn’t qualify you for being an exalter! We must ALSO revere and honor Him Monday through Saturday—even at home, doing our daily chores; plus, during difficult times!
If today is your first day clapping and raising your hands, make it a point to “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.” “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it! Psalm 118:24. Everything is going to be all right whether you’re clapping while on the mountain top or in the valley!
Praise and believe that He not only can heal the mind and body but the distressed soul! Thus, the Holy Spirit causes our hearts to overflow with hope! Once more, when seeking Him, He has the ability to restore or resuscitate you in every way!
Now, the whole concept of “God is” can be a little difficult! But, it should want to make you to shout “Hallelujah” and give Him glory! Sometimes, when dealing with that phrase (God is), we can have a “Martha” spirit! You know her story! She had doubts and questions, but her sister, Mary, had chosen the “better part!”
“Martha then said to Jesus, 'Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” Again, don’t have the Martha attitude! The raising of Lazarus teaches us a lesson. When God seems to be doing nothing, He may be doing more than you could ever imagine. Jesus had declared that Lazarus’ sickness was for the glory of God!
As stated, refuge is safety that can secure us in time of trouble! Because you have a roof over your head doesn’t necessarily mean that you have a haven! It is not good to put confidence in man or things! It is best to trust in the Lord; He is able to help, as well as willing, faithful to His Word and unchangeable in His promises!
Some folks may not trust you with their secrets they are dealing with. They don’t have confidence in you and feel you may backlash on them! He/she doesn’t want to cope with you. Further, it’s because of failed experiences!
Others may be in denial and just rather say that I’m fine with a smile! But, remember, “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle, He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.” Psalm 27:5. The Omniscient knows your lifestyle, struggles, temptations, etc. God sees your dark emotions—even though you try to cover up your problems with a smile and glowing personality!
Granted, He won’t deny you with your messed up issues! He will open up the doors for you! Reiterating: You can’t throw Him off with your smile, camouflage or productivity! One component is for you to be hidden in Him and the other beautiful part is knowing who He is covering you!
Definitely, church is a safe place to express yourself! “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1 Burdens or bad habits can hurt you and they can be passed down to your generations! God is never too busy to come to your defense! He will clean you of your filthiness! He understands and knows your every need!
As the natural heart is operated on to be active and strong, God can work on your spiritual heart! He can fix the problem! His salvation can change you forever! The Way-Maker can work matters out for your good! Whatever you are dealing with or insecurities that you may have, the right refuge is God!
Elder Humphrey certainly can attest: “Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.” Job 23:12.
Many thanks to Sis. Jackie George for assisting me with today’s notes (due to my absence). Supportive friend: I appreciate your love, consent and administrative skills!
