Doing Alive What I Can't Do Dead

Speaker:
Bishop Dr. Robert A. Merriwether Sr.
Reference Text:
Isaiah 38:9,18-20
Filled with the Holy Ghost and God’s Word, nothing can “stop nor block” our anointed orator from sharing the Truth! His topic today derived from the aforementioned Book!
“The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick and was recovered of his sickness...For the grave cannot praise Thee, death cannot celebrate Thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for Thy truth...The LORD was ready to save me; therefore we will sing my
songs with stringed instruments; all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.”
Near the end of his life, Hezekiah became very ill, almost dying! But, he prayed for help, and received a miraculous healing from Jehovah Rapha! Unfortunately, his “heart was proud” which caused problems for both him and Judah. Our pride often gets the best of us and can terminate
our strength.
The Bible teaches that Gods sovereignty is an essential aspect of who He is—the Ruler of us all has supreme authority and absolute power over everything! Yes, He is very much alive, despite our perplexities! “God works all things according to the counsel of His will” (Ephesians 1:11). The Lord’s love is manifested in suffering and death! Moreover, the earth is full of His Unfailing love!
Natural death becomes deliverance from pain and sin! We are living to die but dying to live! What are you praying for? The Lord can recover or replace it! Analogy: Whereas, if our life is out of balance, as unbalanced car tires, it inclines us towards mental, emotional or worse, physical trauma. Furthermore, life is no different than driving a car!
Sometimes, people will esteem you in your struggles rather than in your durability! You can identify your problems from experience. Then, there are individuals who understand, because they’ve been through the same thing! “For we have not a High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
Hezekiah made known his testimony of healing! Can you identify the causes of your circumstances? (e.g., disturbance, orphanage, bills, abuse, sickness, death; walked out on, left for dead)! Trials or tests can make us stronger! Jesus asked God: “Why hast Thou forsaken Me?” You, too, can have a miraculous declaration! Don’t accept “Woe is me for I’m undone!” Don’t have a nasty attitude, filthy mouth, etc. “In the flesh dwelleth no good thing.”
Have a honest praise unto God! True testimonies are needed! “Father, if it’s Thy will, let this cup pass from Me.” You don’t know who you will liberate! Help somebody! I wasn’t always this clean, smelling good, had my right mind, wardrobe together...
Granted, you have the anointing but one day, you did the same things that I did! Be careful, seasoned saints, seniors, anyone! I am who I am by the grace of God! I said, “I shall not see YAH, The LORD in the land of the living; I shall observe man no more among the inhabitants of
the world.”
It’s winding down; time is running out but hold on to God’s unchanging hand! “And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not…” Jesus told Mary: Don’t you weep and Martha not to moan! Let your “mourning” turn into “morning!” No more crying but it’s a new day!
The one letter, “U” means “YOU” can make a difference! Trust God for He will work it out! Keep on believing despite the hurt, shame, outcome! The devil is a liar! Don’t take your life...those pills; a gun! Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Remember: Let not your heart be distraught, neither let it be dismayed!
We all can have a “but” — BUT, God’s love...His joy...peace...understanding can give us the victory! Hezekiah got his strength back and God added to his life 15 more years! He can add to your life many more years of time, patience, wealth, hope, wisdom, etc.
Firmly embrace: For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. “Weeping may endureth for a night but joy cometh in the morning!” I got to do good while I’m alive!
After the eulogy, it’s too late! “I will bless the Lord at all times…” Get in God’s House for your spouse, troubled kids, health problems, etc. I shall be anointed...the head and not beneath. I guarantee that your soul will be satisfied!
We thank God for the late Minister Ladette Balknight—her love, life and labors! Unquestionably, she esteemed the Word of God! None of us know when our last time will be here on earth! I will testify and live this life while I have a chance for I may not have a chance anymore! I’m going to holler “Hallelujah” — bless, thank and lift Him up! Tomorrow is not promise! Your praise has almost expired! Get that praise out of the “freezer/refrigerator” before it deteriorate! I got to bless Him! Everything that has breath, praise ye the Lord!
We celebrate the God of glory! “Job: Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?” ... “Where does light live or where does darkness reside?” “I have been young and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken...” You don’t know my story, situation, etc. When
praises go up, blessings come down…” “He that shall come will come and not tarry…” Surely, when we embrace sermons, read the Bible constantly and soak in His Presence, it develops a lasting hunger for God! Thanks, pulpitarian, for another fulfilled word! We love and
revere U & 1st Lady Shania Merriwether!
