Graduation from the Graveyard!

Speaker:
Bishop Dr. Robert A.Merriwether Sr.

Mark 5:9-15
Again, on today, we experienced hallowed joy, a refined glory and an abundance of peace via the message coming from our overseer (as named)!
This past 3 weeks, the pastor emphasized how God’s grace is sufficient when one has a graveyard experience! Jesus came across the sea to see this one particular person (the man with an unclean spirit). He stopped what He was doing just for that one specific man! Those who are plagued with obstacles, the Lord will come just for YOU! But we must trust Him!
Be humble and know that God has a call on your life! Don’t act like you are not weak in your flesh! The Creator delights in honesty and does not like a lying individual! The confined man immediately recognized Jesus as being the son of God and worshipped Him! There is something deep inside of us that we are built to worship!
Some things don’t make sense but ask the sufferer “What is your name?” Let the Lord come inside your house; mind, heart, crisis to expunge the problem! What is it that’s tormenting me? Again, identify the agony so that we can proclaim the power and omnipotence of the Almighty!
Isaiah 14:16 denotes: “They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying: Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms…” Satan: It was you that broke up my home; yielded me to addiction, fear, laid up in liquor/crack houses; holding grudges; compromising my character. etc.
Lord, when I look back over my regrets, let me remember how I had the power to cast out devils...cancer, depression, et al. I must not forget that I’m the head and not the tail...the victor and not the victim! Most High, please refresh me, “Lest I forget Gethsemane; lest I forget Thine agony; lest I forget Thy love for me, lead me to Calvary…”
Lucifer: You are not going to drive me to the graveyard! Again, like with the unclean spirit, “Jesus asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many...
And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.”
A legion means 6,000 devils! When you do the math, it’s 16.4 demons to wrestle with a day! Some people didn’t have to go to war in Iraq but they have war in their mind! When the enemy won’t give you a break, realize that the “I Am” will not leave us on our own to overcome the “wiles of the devil!” But He has fully equipped us to speak the Word with faith!
Don’t make it a habit to continue in sin nor “repent and repeat” but “repent and announce:” Devil: I will not let you have access into my future, life, home! When in bondage, one is dealing with demonic influence, and you will pursue to transgress without God! Some things must be dealt with directly: The battle of healing, communication; broken family, poverty, sin. Culminate it! It’s graduation time from the graveyard!
One also needs rehabilitation when in a graveyard. If not, it’s like being buried alive! When you are surrounding by dead things, you are miserable! Like the dentist doing surgery on one’s teeth, he numbs the nerve, so you won’t deal with pain! When in duress, you need God to overturn the situation! Don’t “tic for tat” (You hurt me, I’ll hurt you!). Don’t get even but get healed! Two wrongs don’t make a right! Whatsoever a man soweth, that he shall reap! If not prayerful and careful, one thing will lead to another—not being able to control yourself!
Romans 12:19: “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” It doesn’t say I will repay immediately, tomorrow, next week—not when but He will repay! God is a man that He cannot lie! The person you hate, Jesus happens to love! All souls belong to the Lord!
Having a conversation with God will definitely get you out of your dilemma! You don’t need a four-leaf clover, horoscope, witch’s broom; wishbone, rabbit’s foot, etc. All you need is a conversation with the Master! “Father, I stretch my hands to Thee; No other help I know; If Thou withdraw Thyself from me, Ah! whither shall I go? Open your mouth whatever have you imprisoned! “No weapon formed against me shall prosper!” “Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning!”
Speak with the authority/anointing in Jesus’ Name and let the devil know that he does not have dominion over your life! Utter until you believe, receive, know, get and living a fulfill life! Now, I’m about to graduate! “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
David encouraged himself! Talk to yourself! Robert! Yes, you, Robert! “Though your beginning may be small, your latter end shall be great!” I know that God will “prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” Get out of that graveyard! A dramatic display: Pastor literally put on a graduation cap (with its tassel), depicting it’s time to graduate! This is your commencement! I’m coming out...free me from the graveyard! Plead the blood of Jesus! Thus, no more tombs, chains, doubt, demons, depression, anxiety or foes! Graduation is my rejoicing time! Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.”
A “fireball” preacher, Bishop Merriwether’s mind capacity has no restrictions! Moreover, he has a heartfelt reverence for the majesty of God & a loving awe of His grace! Thank you, sir, for such a great sermon!
