The Divine Setup

Jeremiah 29:11
The task of the preacher is to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable! That’s how it was with today’s message declared by our very own Eld. Humphrey! Not only was it the “Good News” but “Good Advice!”
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you saith the LORD; thoughts of peace and not evil to give you an expected end.”
A divine setup (plan or destiny) brings us to the end of our reality and lifts us above our circumstances, feelings and finite minds! It’s because God is Omnipotence! The only Begotten Son certainly knows the big picture for all humanity--from the beginning of time until the end!
We need God in the late mid-night hour. He’s going to turn things around! Let us, therefore, have a melody of praise! “O, Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder; consider all the world, Thy hands have made…” If you want changes and breakthroughs, trust God! The enemy has been hired to assist us in our next level! Needless to say, God cares about us when we suffer; He can also bring good out of it! Moreover, Jesus suffered! Is the servant greater than his master!
Scenario: Lucifer is going through the orientation process…having his picture taken with a badge! He will also log in and have a password on his desktop! His first and only assignment is YOU! It was you who received an increase; a new job, home, etc. but God will recommend the enemy’s expertise! Romans 8:28 denotes: “..and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God; to them who are called according to his purpose.”
All things are not “goodie gumdrops!” The pain, heartaches, sickness, abuse, et al. are devastating! The devil has to be on payroll—due to sin! “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” He will not kill your purpose but strengthen you for the test!
“Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon…” Jeremiah 29:4. It’s easy to give God glory with positive manifestations! However, how do I praise Him when in trouble? We need the same energy (faith, prayer, serving) when things are contrary!
Remember what He’s done before, He can do again! Adversities can be a set-up for you to be triumphant—not to sabotage you! He knows how much we can bear and is responsible for making a way of escape for us!
No need to look for suspects! The King of kings has the power to solve matters! During your season of confinement, exercise in reading/studying God’s Word, praying and things of like manner! When you go shopping on Black Friday, you’re willing to stand in a long line to get what you desire! What about waiting on God? In your patience, possess ye your soul. Luke 21:19; at the end of the tunnel is “light!”
“For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21. Also, “For our light affliction which but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
Jeremiah 29:7 mentions: “…and seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives and pray unto the LORD for it; for in the peace, thereof, shall ye have peace.” Something is waiting for you on the other side! God has set you up to build on your character, strength and faith—not to be detained permanently!
Jeremiah alerted the people to pray for peace of the land that it would be beneficial! Pursue peace but don’t get too relax! Yes, it’s ok to want prosperity but you will never know when interference or your becoming “trapped” may surface! However, Jehovah-Jireh wants you to look unto Him!
Yes, you have had your back against the wall and were disappointed (credit score messed up, children gone astray; spouse left, financial woes, etc.). But, be cognizant that God’s love, grace and mercy are with you! He is setting you up for abundance! The exit is soon to come! Psalm 37:25 elaborates: “I have been young and now am old. Yet, have I not seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread.”
Then, you can participate in the celebration of freedom and witness the breakthrough! Man can be deceiving and not dependable. Nevertheless, God is not a man that He should lie; neither the Son of man, that He should repent: hath He said and shall He not do it? Or, hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?
It feels good knowing that the Redeemer is thinking about me! An individual can say that they are with you but you find out later that they are not a person of his/her word. Don’t compare the Alpha and Omega to man nor an animal! He is divine—even with your issues or problems! Go to the Father for He has a device set up for you!!
Once more, some people can like you today but tomorrow, their thoughts change! God set it up so that you might grow in the faith and knowledge of Him! Reiterating: If a situation has you captive (whether its your family, shocking news or whatever), we serve the Almighty who will answer prayer! I know it’s rough but eventually, you will succeed!
Give your life to the Messiah and know that “What God has for you, it is for you! I know without a doubt that He will bring you out. What God has for you, it is for you!” Lord Jesus, let us feel Your touch! Repeat: We’ve been set up for miracles, the Holy Ghost, deliverance; a new home, car and other valuables! I see a blessing coming my way!
Rejoice and be glad, time won’t be long! Through it all, I’m looking for a miracle! There is a Spirit of praise on my lips and in my heart! When praises go up, blessings come down! Honor to Emmanuel that we have been SETUP TO GET UP!! I don’t believe that the Prince of Peace would bring me this far to leave me!
Truly, our spokesman rose to the occasion and preached under the anointing and with full expression! We thank God for him and his beautiful wife, Sis. Krystal Humphrey, for her participation in church and offering her time and talents for kingdom-building!
