It's Coming

Hebrews 10:35-37
On today, heaven came down and glory filled our souls as our pastor preached on “It’s Coming!” derived from the above text! “It” is victory, relief, deliverance, joy, peace, etc.
“Cast not away, therefore, your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come and will not tarry.”
Paul wrote the Epistle to the Hebrews, encouraging Jewish members of the church to maintain their faith in Jesus Christ and not to return to their former ways. There were also various prophets who exhorted the Jews to trust in God for deliverance! However, the Orthodox Jews still embrace the Old Testament prophets!
Whereas, Judaism beliefs were/are basically: God punishes the bad; He rewards the good and is forgiving towards those who transgress! Thereby, the New Testament Covenant represents the life and death of Jesus and His promises!
It is better when we have confident (boldness) in Christ! By embracing faith, we will be blessed! “Better” or greater is a key word that occurs 13 times in said book, emphasizing the central thesis that the way of our Good Shepherd is more valued! It (Hebrews) also emphasize a better covenant, atonement, promises, understanding; revelation; angels, priesthood, hope, sacrifices!
Paul admonished the Christians who were ridiculed for their faith: “For it was fitting that He, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.” When you decide to do better, your life will always come against attacks! The enemy desires to see you live a life without Jesus Christ! You will be met with threats, repercussions, heartaches, sickness, cancer, finance, abuse, divorce, persecutions etc.
The Jews doubted their faith because they met with opposition! They wanted to go back to Egypt where there were fish, cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic but now their appetite was gone! Mainly, they were rejecting God’s leadership!
“Anyone who rejected Moses’ law died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.” However, There is a greater punishment when one rejects our Lord Jesus Christ! The Old Testament is where they were rejected. The New Testament is where the Son of God was rejected!
Let us praise Him for the hearing of His Word! You will not escape the rejection of Him! “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Heb. 10:30-31). God is not a god like the idols of wood and stone whereas you have to be fearful. But, fear Him who can destroy both the body and soul.”
Dictators have all died but when you deal with the Living God, He can impose punishment! Hebrews 10:32 relays: “Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering,”
Job 14 1: "Man born of woman is of few days and full of trouble.” “But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions.”
God’s way is superior! It should not be “My way or the highway!” Yes, you may face public shame for things you cannot control! Also, you will experience people who hate you, gaze, scoff, scorn, etc. There’s nothing worse than to be ashamed—you cannot hide! You must understand that you are not the only one who is going through! The enemy will have you think that no one is having such a hard time but you!
There is nothing like a good companion or spouse when you are afflicted! Moses had Aaron; Paul had Silas; Ruth and Naomi, Elijah and Elisha; et al. You need somebody in your life to be an encouragement...a supporter! It’s not over until God says it’s over! “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.” “If at first you don't succeed, try again.” The battle is not yours, but it’s the Lord!
“After” you have been abused, crushed, surrendered, “hoodwinked,” betrayed, victory is coming! Being forsaken, talked about, displaced from your home, cried, wait on your “after!” “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you…”
Reiterating: After the heartbreak, let-down, there shall be glory! “There shall be light in the evening time; the path to Glory, you will surely find…”
Subsequently, this (whatever this is?), there is (as stated prior) joy, peace, happiness, etc. “Mary, don’t you weep and tell Martha not to moan.” “After this” you will be back...you will be stronger, better, wiser, anointed! After I lose weight, I will see a difference...feeling and looking fine! It will happen...It’s coming! God will deliver my children, spouse, health, etc. “Not a day late or a dollar short!” His Word is “signed, sealed and delivered!”
Hey, hey, hey!!!! I got an “after!” The secret is: “It’s coming! Continue to fast, believe; be faithful, pray! Don’t “throw in the towel; give up...trusting hope against hope (victory, restoration, breakthrough, relief, promotion, healing, joy, power, wealth, anointing)!
Closing: Our gospel proclaimer is certainly “holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.” Titus 1:7-9. Thank you, man of God, and First Lady for your services!
